Rock ‘n’ Roll 2016 Training Guide

Suja is entering into our third year as the title partner of the 19th annual marathon & half marathon, which will take place the weekend of June 3-5, 2016. We’re very proud to be able to be part of such an amazing event and are committed to help you prepare for the big day!

I’ve designed a 6-week comprehensive program for both marathon & half-marathon runners to use that will get your body and mind into a ready state so you can accomplish the run and enjoy the day. The full marathon plan is designed for individuals that have already completed a half marathon or are comfortable running approximately 10-12 miles at a leisurely pace. The half marathon plan is for those that are comfortable running 5-6 miles or are striving to improve their half-marathon times. Both programs are designed to increase endurance (the amount of distance covered), and speed (the time it takes to cover that distance).

Here’s a little sneak peak: each week will include a tempo run, an interval run, a strength circuit, hill training, an easy pace run, and of course…a long distance run!
