This is my go-to dressing for any salad! Omega-3 fatty acids are so important for a variety of functions including heart health, mood support, and brain function. Many of us lack omega-3s in relation to omega-6s which can be inflammatory in the body. Omega 6s are common in plant oils and nuts and seeds. Omega 3s are abundant in fish, flaxseed, and walnuts. This flaxseed oil salad dressing incorporates flax and walnut oils to deliver a nutritious, healthy, and delicious source of vegetarian omega 3 fatty acids. Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup flax oil
- 2T walnut oil
- 2T olive oil
- 3T tamari
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 garlic clove or 1T garlic powder
- 1/2 an avocado
- Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and mix until thoroughly combined. Enjoy!
